SteelOrbis has been informed that, today, January 26, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has issued its rebar price at TRY 23,050/mt ($634/mt) ex-works, amid ongoing currency fluctuations. The rebar price indicates a TRY 300/mt ($2/mt) rise compared to Thursday, January 11. In addition, the mill has kept its wire rod price unchanged at $650/mt ex-works today. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 30,32 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.
The mill had raised its rebar price by TRY 150/mt on Wednesday, January 24, and hiked it by another TRY 150/mt on Thursday, January 25, in order to offset currency fluctuations, with minor changes in prices on US dollar basis.
